You’re the expert. Another reason why blogging is a good idea is because it gives you the opportunity to talk about something which you’re (hopefully) knowledgeable about. Let’s face it, people like to listen to people who know their onions. If you’re trying to become a ballet dancer, would you take ballet lessons from a mechanic? I think not! So it is with blogging. You’re most likely to attract readers and potential customers who already have an interest in your subject. It does make a difference because it’s easier to convert these people into customers.
However, while some people put up a website as quickly as possible, then wonder what they are going to do with it, the successful internet marketers plan before they act, and create a site that is a tool that allows them to succeed in their main objective, which in most cases is to make money. Succeeding with an online business is more than just constructing a website and waiting for people to flock to it with open wallets. You have to plan to succeed – and, as the saying goes, a failure to plan is a plan to fail.
